Nozuko Belinda Twani

She is a well-seasoned professional and a business woman who offers dynamic thinking, analytical & problem-solving skills gained from diverse experiences over the years. Before founding Twani & Associates Attorneys, Nozuko served her articles at Young Earth Attorneys a boutique firm under her principal and a Senior Attorney Marguerite Davis specialising in commercial property law including real estate and conveyancing, structuring of property transactions, commercial, residential and notarial leases; land use, planning, development; environmental law, renewable energy transactions and related authorisations. She also went through job shadowing at Wolhuter Attorneys under supervision of Lourens Grobler a litigation attorney for a period of five months in 2021.

Her areas of practice are commercial, administrative law, administration of property, wills and estates; mining law, renewable energy, and environmental law and civil litigation. She is an aspiring Conveyancer and currently busy with the relavant board exams.

LLM in Environmental Law & Governance from North West University, LLB from UNISA, Diploma in Road Transport Management from University of Johannesburg, Certificate in Management Development Program from LDI & Fort hare Rhodes, Supervisory Development Program from Regenisys Development Institute, B-Tech degree in Marketing, She also enrolled in few short courses including, LexisNexis Convey Transfers, LEAD Advanced Drafting Skills for Contract, LEAD Drafting Heads of Arguments, Manage Construction Contracting Business, Fundamentals of Project Management, Accident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis Techniques. She is an accredited Assessor and certified in Coaching and Mentoring.

In 2022 she received a prestige award for academic excellence in Mining Law and my mini dissertation on Local government's legal accountability for environmental damage in the context of environmental rule of law. She is an author of an article “The legal accountability of local government in South Africa for the failure to deliver sanitation services” recently published in the South African Journal on Human Rights.

She is also a member of the South African Woman in Construction & Built Environment “SAWIC & BE” and serve in the SAWIC & BE Western Cape extended committee as a Legal Advisor. She has a previous background on construction wherein she managed a R 67 Million low cost houses project with her former construction in the Eastern Cape. She also has a corporate background gained from various organizations with the likes of Eskom Holdings for +-8 years as a Senior Account Executive for fleet management, Communication department of Water Affairs & Forestry etc.
